What you should know about zoom! Whitening
- The Zoom! procedure is accomplished in one appointment.
- Your lips and gums are covered before we begin, leaving only your teeth exposed.
- Zoom! Whitening Gel is applied liberally to your teeth.
- The Zoom! Whitening Light is then focused on your teeth for a period of 15 minutes.
- The light breaks down hydrogen peroxide in the special gel, allowing oxygen to bleach discolorations from your teeth without harming their structure.
- This procedure is repeated two more times for a total treatment time of approximately 45 minutes.
- Some patients experience sensitivity to temperature immediately after the treatment for up to 3 days.
- Patients with a strong gag reflex or anxiety may have difficulty undergoing the entire procedure.
